Hey! I’m Meli. I’m the kind of person who loves the little things in life—like a good cup of coffee in the morning, a spontaneous road trip, or a sunset that just takes your breath away.

I’m all about forming real connections, good vibes, and finding joy in the everyday moments. Whether I’m capturing weddings behind my lens, dancing out at local concerts, or just binge-watching my favorite show on Netflix, I like to keep things fun and authentic.

When I’m not photographing love stories, or hanging out with friends (or snapping candid shots, because let’s be real, I’m the photographer friend), you’ll find me collecting cool ephemera to add to my junk journal! Life’s too short, so I’m all about making the most of every moment!

Hi! I’m Elena! I capture my couples love stories with warmth, comfort, and humor while delivering images that are cinematic & timeless.

Based in Chicago, I specialize in photographing city based downtown elopements/city hall elopements and intimate weddings focusing on capturing unscripted moments that capture the heart of your relationship - so you can relive your special day endlessly. I photograph with my heart not with my eyes. My passion for this art comes from within. I love what I do. I’m a romantic at heart & firmly believe that one of the most important parts of photographing a wedding & elopement is capturing the story around it.

When I'm not capturing love stories, I can be found at my local library browsing the aisles for a good rom-com or fantasy novel, having a sister date, planning my next styled shoot, and so much more. One thing you'll always notice about me, is that my best laughs turning into high-pitched cackles.

Reach out to us on our inquiry form and tell me all about YOU, your vision for your session/day and everything you want our time together to be.

OUR CHAT

We will get a chance to get to know one another better on an onboarding call and you'll be able to ask any of the questions you may have. During this call, we will review packages and find one that best fits your vision.

BOOKING

Once you're ready to book, I'll send over your custom proposal along with a contract to sign + an invoice where you can pay the 30% non-refundable retainer fee. When this is complete, we are OFFICIALLY BOOKED!

ASSOCIATE PROCESS

We will connect you with your associate. Your complimentary engagement session will be with your associate so you get a chance to meet before your wedding day. The MLP Team will be there to help you along the way as you plan your day. The associate and a second photographer will capture your wedding day as you guys party the day away together - WHOOOHOOO!!

DELIVERY

You'll receive sneak peeks within a week of your wedding day. All of your photos will be edited by Mayah to truly give it that Mayah Lee Photography vibe.
